Meet the team
Giles Saxon Giles qualified from Sheffield University in 1990 and has spent his whole working life in the Sheffield and North Derbyshire area.
Giles acquired Aspire Dental in 2001 and the following years have seen a steady growth in Aspire Dental’s reputation. Giles is one of the first dentists in the area to invest in an operating microscope, enabling him to view your teeth in the finest detail.
Giles takes an interest in all aspects of dentistry and regularly attends post graduate courses. Giles has interests in cosmetic dentistry, endodontics and periodontology. He has completed a post graduate diploma course at Bristol University and passed examinations to become a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. Giles is currently taking a post graduate diploma at Sheffield University, studying all aspects of implant dentistry. He is a Member of the British Dental Association, the British Endodontic Society, the British Society of Restorative Dentistry, the British Society of Periodontology, the British Society of Occlusal Studies, the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Rachel Robinson Rachel Robinson has been working at Aspire Dental for ten years. She is a fully qualified Dental Hygienist and is able to provide advice on promoting oral health and provide some aspects of dental care, such as scaling and polishing. Rachel is married with two children.
Diane Green Diane Green qualified as a Dental Hygienist from Sheffield University in 1995, and began working at Aspire Dental in 2004. She is able to provide advice on promoting oral health and provides some aspects of dental care such as scaling and polishing. Diane is married with two children.
Angela Thornhill Angela Thornhill joined the practice in March 1984, qualifying as a Dental Nurse in May 1986 at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield. Then in June 2001, she obtained a certificate in Dental Radiography at Castle College in Sheffield.
Ellie Mobbs-Wright Ellie Mobbs-Wright joined the practice in March 2003 as a Dental Receptionist and gained Level 3 BTEC Advanced Award in Dental Reception in March 2006. She is currently undertaking the BTEC Professional Diploma in Dental Practice Management.
Kirstie Pape Kirstie Pape joined the practice in June 2008. Kirstie is gaining chairside experience working with Giles Saxon and will shortly be starting college with the aim of gaining her Dental Nursing qualification.
Our dental team
Giles Saxon is supported by two dental hygienists and three nursing and reception staff.
