Meet the Team

Giles Saxon

Giles qualified from Sheffield University in 1990 and has worked in the Sheffield and North Derbyshire areas ever since. He remains dedicated to continuing professional development, which has resulted in his membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, and gaining additional skills in new areas of dentistry, including implantology.

Giles is enthusiastic and passionate about what he does. His technical competence, clinical skills and in-depth understanding of the dental profession immediately puts his patients at ease. This is dentistry as it should be done – and has earned him a well-deserved reputation to which others aspire.

Andrea Clark

Andrea qualified with an Honours Degree in Dental Hygiene and Therapy with Distinction from Manchester in 2005, following her early career as a dental nurse.

She joined Aspire Dental in 2020 and is dedicated to delivering high standards of patient care while keeping her professional knowledge and skills continually up to date.

Outside of dentistry, Andrea enjoys a full and active lifestyle with her husband, 2 boys and their much loved dog. A keen runner, she has completed numerous half marathons and one full marathon, and is currently training for her second. She loves reading and cooking for family and friends, making the most of quality time with loved ones.

Angela Shawcroft

Angela began dental nursing in 1984, and qualified in 1986. She has been part of the team at Aspire Dental ever since!

In 2001, Angela furthered her skills by achieving her certificate in dental radiography. She has a friendly approach which helps put patients at ease.

Outside of work, Angela likes spending time with her family and friends, reading and making wine (and occasionally drinking some too!).

Anna Lord

Anna began dental nursing in 2000 and qualified in 2002. She furthered her delta qualifications in 2004 with her certificate in sedation. Anna also gained qualifications in teaching and assessing to help train new dental nurses.

Anna became a member of the Aspire team in 2022.

Outside of work, she likes spending her time with family and friends, driving and visiting new places and going to the gym.

Anne Barratt

Anne began working as a trainee dental nurse at Aspire Dental in 2004, and qualified in 2006.

She worked at a couple of different practices and also in community dental before returning ‘home’ to Aspire in 2025.

In her spare time, Anne enjoys going for food, seeing her family, going for long walks and spending time with her husband, her 2 children and her dog. She also loves going on holiday and exploring the world. Alberta in Canada and Florida in the USA are her favourite places so far!

Lisa Boyce

Lisa started dental nursing in 1986 as a trainee dental nurse at Aspire Dental (trained by Angela). She qualified in 1988 after leaving Aspire Dental. She continued dental nursing at various other practices broadening her experiences and knowledge.

In 2007, Lisa began working in practice management and gained her teaching and assessing qualifications to help to train new dental nurses.

Lisa returned back to the team at Aspire Dental as Practice Manager in 2016. She oversees the day-to-day running of the practice and ensures everything goes smoothly. She still works in surgery one day a week to keep her dental nursing skills

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, running her Guide group, baking and watching cycling races in this country and further afield.

Harriet Surtees

Harriet qualified from the University of Sheffield in 2013. She has continued her education with postgraduate courses in periodontal disease, guidelines and management, and dental implant maintenance.

Harriet joined Aspire Dental in 2025 and is dedicated to providing high-quality dental hygiene care to all patients. She finds it particularly rewarding when great results are seen in her patients’ oral health care.

Outside of work, Harriet loves spending time with her nephews, going to festivals, walking, and looking after her four rescue guinea pigs!
