We aim to see dental emergency cases as quickly as possible, and set aside appointment times daily for patients who need urgent treatment. A dental emergency is often sudden and unexpected, leaving you looking for the best way to fix your problem and relieve your pain. We’re here to offer advice and support to help you feel reassured and get you sorted. We prioritise your comfort and well-being, and use an on-call service with The 247 Dentist to help even when our practice is closed.

Frequently asked questions
A dental emergency typically involves any issue causing severe pain, uncontrollable bleeding, or potential irreversible damage to your teeth or gums, such as a broken tooth or extreme swelling. If you are unsure, it is always best to call your dentist for advice.
Try to remain calm and handle the tooth only by the crown (the top part). If possible, gently reinsert it into the socket or store it in milk and contact us immediately, as time is critical to saving the tooth.
Rinse your mouth with warm salt water to clean the area and gently use floss to remove any trapped food debris. Do not put aspirin directly on the tooth or gum. Take an over-the-counter painkiller if needed and call us straight away.
We always aim to see patients experiencing severe pain or urgent trauma as quickly as possible, often on the same day. Please call the practice first thing in the morning to secure the earliest available appointment.
