Natural-looking protection for damaged teeth

Crowns are a neat and natural-coloured way to cover up unsightly teeth and protect them from further damage. They fit completely over a whole tooth, concealing defects caused by chips, decay, discolouration or large fillings. Crowns can also be used to support a dental bridge, to restore function following root canal treatment, or fixed to a dental implant for a highly aesthetic finish.

What are the benefits of dental crowns?

  • Restore strength and structure to your tooth
  • Natural-looking, blending into your smile
  • A full rebuild for damaged or decayed teeth
  • Long-lasting and durable solution

Your dental crown treatment steps

Step 1

Firstly, we check that the internal structure of the tooth is intact and that there are no signs of infection present. We prepare your tooth by removing a layer of tooth structure, making sure we leave a strong core.

Step 2

We take impressions of your teeth and record the colour so your crown can be made to be a perfect fit. We protect the prepared tooth with a temporary crown while your new one is created.

Step 3

When your crown is ready, the temporary crown is removed and the new permanent one is fixed in place with a strong dental cement.
